The project
Nazareth Lodge Residential Home came to us in 2001. Owing to its expansion, it was in desperate need of extension and refurbishment. The extension was to provide two new bedrooms with en suites, a new staff room, an office and a new laundry facility. Refurbishment would convert the current staff flat into two further bedrooms, an assisted bathroom facility, a new kitchen and a dining room. The current kitchen was then refurbished, in order to provide two further bedrooms.
The challenges
Nazareth was our very first project, back in 2001. It was an incredible challenge for us, as all of the works had to be undertaken, while residents still occupied the accommodation (24/7). We also had to handle the change-over of kitchen facilities, while ensuring that the home remained fully operational.
The solution
We put together a detailed plan and co-ordination schedule for the project which then had to be delivered with military precision. We made sure that we built a great working relationship with our client, to ensure that flexibility was maintained in a difficult working environment.
The result
We delivered a beautiful, high-quality building, with as little disruption as possible – on budget and on time.
